1. SOLUTION FOR SNORING
Snoring is about more than just some nighttime noise in the bedroom. It can have a difficult effect on your relationship. Often, the partner of the snorer sleeps little or badly because of the decibels he/she has to listen to every night. To avoid arguments, sleeping separately is a good alternative. At least you both get up in a better mood!
2. TO EACH PERSON HAS THEIR OWN SLEEP RITUALS
No matter how close you are as a couple, you can't always do everything together. This also applies to bedtime rituals. Maybe you like to read until 2 a.m., while your partner prefers to go to bed at 11 p.m. Or does your partner still watch TV in the bedroom and does that bother you? With a chambre séparée you can still snuggle up together until you get tired and then go to sleep in your own bed. Everyone has their own peace and quiet!
3. NO FIGHTING OVER THE BLANKETS
Did you know that snoring is 'only' number 2 in the top 10 of annoyances in bed? Number 1 - you guessed it - is pulling the covers away. Does it really bother you? Either choose two duvets in one bed, or simply sleep in a separate bed.
4. MORE INTIMACY
It sounds very contradictory that sleeping apart would create more intimacy. But often it is. It is actually a very Western idea that you should always sleep together as a couple. Couples who already have a so-called SAT relationship notice the difference. According to them, sleeping apart is actually good for the relationship. Not only do they sleep better, they organize themselves differently. Intimacy between the sheets (or somewhere else) really becomes a choice, no longer a habit. If you miss each other a little, you long for each other even more. That is actually quite logical. Who knows, it might just be the boost your relationship needs to break the routine …
What do you think? Is sleeping separately worth trying or would you rather snuggle up together under the duvet?
